Nanny Housekeeper – Esher, Surrey – £60,000–£62,500 gross per annum

• Salary: £60,000–£62,500 gross per annum
• Hours: Monday 7am–6pm; Tuesday to Thursday 7am–8pm; Friday 7.30am–6pm, with flexibility for a later start or earlier finish
• Start: ASAP
• Driving: A confident driver with own car is required
• Accommodation: Live-in or daily. A large en-suite bedroom is available for a live-in candidate. The family would ideally like someone to live in during the working week and go home at weekends, but are equally happy to consider part-week live-in, fully live-in or daily.

A lovely professional family in Esher is looking for an experienced and highly organised Nanny Housekeeper to join them on a permanent basis, caring for their two young children and helping to keep family life organised and running smoothly.

This is a true Nanny Housekeeper position, with approximately 60% childcare and 40% housekeeping and family support. The family employs a cleaner, so this is not a heavy-cleaning role.

The four-year-old is at school during the day, while the two-year-old is at home and the family would like her to get out each day, whether to an activity, playgroup, the park or another outing, as well as enjoying relaxed time at home. Grandparents often help with the children and school runs on Fridays. The home has a large garden, swimming pool and fish pond, so a strong awareness of water safety is essential.

Nanny duties

• Providing warm, attentive and engaging care for both children, including their day-to-day routines and wellbeing
• Completing the morning school run and afternoon collection
• Planning age-appropriate activities, outings, playgroups and playdates, and taking the children to activities, appointments and clubs
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Supporting the four-year-old with Reception homework, reading and phonics
• Managing bath and bedtime routines as required, and caring for both children during school holidays
• Managing the children's laundry, clothes and bedding, and keeping their rooms, toys and belongings organised
• Keeping parents informed about the children's days

Housekeeping and family support

• Managing the wider family laundry from start to finish
• Keeping the home, kitchen and shared family areas tidy, alongside the family's cleaner
• Preparing simple, healthy family meals, meal planning and batch cooking
• Managing grocery shopping, online food orders and household essentials
• Helping with day-to-day household administration, including appointments, school dates, deliveries, returns and errands
• Liaising with the cleaner and, where agreed, household suppliers or tradespeople

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Nanny Housekeeper within a private household, with children of similar ages
• Warm, kind, calm and confident with two young children
• Highly organised, tidy and proactive, and comfortable moving between nanny and household responsibilities
• Confident supporting Reception-age reading, phonics and schoolwork
• A capable and confident family cook
• Reliable, punctual and an excellent communicator
• A confident driver with own car
• Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain them), and the right to work in the UK
