Full-time Live-out British Early Years Governess for 18-Month-Old Girl in Al Barari, Dubai
Hours: Mon–Fri 9am–5pm

EED is delighted to be representing a private family based in Al Barari, Dubai, seeking an experienced Early Years Governess for their daughter, aged 18 months, to lead her early learning and play through structured, engaging days at home.
This is a full-time, live-out role, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The focus is education through play — early language, numbers and other foundational skills, delivered within a calm and consistent routine that prepares her for kindergarten, which she is expected to start in a year or two. Cooking is minimal, and this is a teaching and developmental role rather than a nanny-and-housekeeping one.
The family speaks English and German at home. Some travel may be required, including family holidays, with details discussed in advance. The initial contract is for one year.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading structured early learning and play for an 18-month-old girl
- Delivering age-appropriate activities across early language, numbers and foundational skills
- Maintaining a calm, consistent daily routine that prepares her for kindergarten
- Tracking developmental progress and communicating openly with the parents
- Accompanying the family on occasional travel, including holidays, as required
- Operating with a professional, discreet manner within a private household
Candidate Requirements
- Native British English speaker with clear, polished spoken English
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in early years teaching or governess roles
- Direct experience supporting language and number development in under-twos
- Based in the UAE already, with a valid Dubai visa, Emirates ID and health insurance in place
- Current First Aid certification
- Warm, calm and reliable, with a professional, discreet manner
- Available for an ASAP start
- Excellent, verifiable references
- Full, clean driving licence useful but not essential
The Offer
- Salary: AED 25,000–35,000 per month, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, live-out
- 4 weeks paid holiday per year
- 1-year initial contract
