EED is delighted to be representing a private family in Abu Dhabi, seeking a warm, calm and capable individual to support the principal’s mother in Abu Dhabi, with regular travel, most often to Spain and Switzerland. This is a genuinely bespoke role, shaped around the right person’s particular strengths rather than a fixed job description, and may be structured as part-time or full-time depending on the candidate.

At its core, this role is about companionship, thoughtful support and making Madam’s daily life and travel run smoothly and calmly. She is vegan, and chef skills — ideally with strong vegan cooking experience — would be a significant advantage, as home cooking is a meaningful part of what’s needed. When Madam travels, she travels without other company, so the right person acts as a true travel companion, not just an organiser — ideally someone who shares an artistic sensibility or culinary background so the relationship has real substance to grow beyond simple logistics.

Day-to-day, the role may include managing her personal appointments (which she already keeps on top of well, so this is primarily support), taking full charge of travel bookings and planning, and general shopping and errands. There is scope to softly help keep the household’s two domestic staff coordinated, though this is a light, diplomatic touch rather than a formal management role. Driving would be useful. Some light physical therapy or wellness support would be a genuine bonus, though this is not a sporty or high-intensity fitness role—it is closer to soft, restorative support than personal training.

The house is average-sized, and as such, this is a live-out, shift-based role, allowing Madam time on her own, which is an important part of how she likes to live.

Above all, the family is looking for someone calm, gentle, and easy to be around. Madam is somewhat sensitive and does not respond well to a big, overwhelming personality; the right fit is quietly capable rather than loud or performative.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing thoughtful, calm companionship to Madam in Abu Dhabi and on international travel
• Preparing home-cooked meals, with a strong emphasis on vegan cuisine
• Taking full charge of travel bookings and planning — most often to Spain and Switzerland
• Acting as a true travel companion, not just a logistics organiser
• Supporting the management of personal appointments and daily schedule
• Handling general shopping, errands and household coordination
• Softly coordinating with the household’s two domestic staff (light, diplomatic touch, not formal management)
• Providing light wellness or restorative support where appropriate
• Driving as required
• Operating with complete discretion within a private household environment

Candidate Requirements

• Genuine chef or cooking skills, ideally with strong vegan cooking experience
• Warm, calm, low-key temperament — comfortable being a quiet, steady presence rather than a dominant one
• Experienced and confident handling travel planning and bookings independently
• Trustworthy, discreet and comfortable working within a private household
• Comfortable travelling as a companion, including to Spain and Switzerland
• Full, clean driving licence
• Excellent, verifiable references
• Spanish speaker strongly preferred
• Artistic background or shared creative interests strongly preferred
• Light physiotherapy, massage, or wellness skills are a genuine bonus
• Comfortable softly coordinating with existing domestic staff without needing to formally manage them
