About the Estate
The estate is an award-winning collection of eight luxury self-catering cabins and a unique Observatory, located on a beautiful Island on Scotland's west coast. They pride themselves on delivering relaxed luxury, exceptional hospitality and unforgettable guest experiences in one of Scotland's most spectacular settings.
We are looking for a proactive, experienced and highly organised Luxury Lodge Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation of The Lodges. This is a hands-on management role, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has exceptionally high standards, and takes pride in ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless stay.
The Role
As Luxury Lodge Manager, you will oversee the daily running of The guest Lodges, ensuring the properties are always presented to the highest standard and that every guest receives exceptional service from arrival to departure.
You will coordinate the changeover of our eight luxury cabins and the Observatory, with additional housekeeping support available during busier periods. Your role is to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the property, maintaining the five-star standards our guests expect.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Guest Experience
● Oversee the day-to-day running of The Estate.
● Ensure all cabins, the Observatory and guest facilities are maintained to an exceptional standard.
● Welcome guests where required and provide friendly, professional assistance throughout their stay.
● Prepare luxury breakfast hampers for guests who have pre-booked them.
● Monitor guest supplies and ensure everything is in place for arrivals.
● Deliver the high level of service and attention to detail that defines this estates unique experience.
Housekeeping & Property Standards
● Coordinate and oversee the changeover of eight luxury cabins and the Observatory.
● Personally assist with cabin changeovers as required, with additional housekeeping support available during busy periods.
● Ensure cabins are presented to an immaculate five-star standard, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and living spaces.
● Carry out quality checks before every guest arrival.
● Liaise with our commercial laundry service in Oban to coordinate linen collections and deliveries.
● Keep the sauna and communal areas clean, tidy and guest-ready.
Estate & Maintenance
● Carry out regular inspections of the property.
● Undertake minor maintenance tasks and coordinate contractors where required.
● Assist with the upkeep of gardens and outdoor spaces.
● Ensure the estate is always beautifully presented.
SEASONAL HOSPITALITY
September - January - Bird shooting season
During the shooting season, the estate hosts exclusive sporting parties. At these times, you'll become part of the wider hospitality team and may be asked to:
● Assist with the preparation of meals and breakfast service.
● Serve food and drinks to guests.
● Help with setting and clearing tables.
● Support the chef to ensure a smooth and professional dining experience.
● Deliver warm, attentive hospitality throughout each guest's stay.
March - August - Tourism Season
During the tourism season, the estate welcomes couples, families and private groups from around the world. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional guest experiences, coordinating arrivals and departures, maintaining immaculate accommodation, and ensuring the smooth operation of the estate.
About You
You'll have experience working within luxury hospitality, ideally in a five-star self-catering property, boutique hotel, private estate or exclusive lodge.
You will also bring:
● Exceptional attention to detail and pride in maintaining the highest standards.
● Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
● A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
● Outstanding guest service and communication skills.
● Flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude. Fit and energetic approach to each day.
● The confidence to take ownership of the property's daily operations.

Desirable Experience & Skills
● Experience working within luxury hospitality or five-star self-catering accommodation.
● Experience preparing and presenting food, or working in a hospitality, catering or kitchen environment.
● Confidence assisting with food service and waitressing during the shooting season.
● Basic maintenance or DIY skills.
● Gardening or grounds maintenance experience.
● Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
● Full UK driving licence.
