Accommodation - refurbished 4 bed house
Salary for the couple – based on a 40 hour week for each could be up to £60,000pa depending on experience with annual reviews.
Start Date - mid September

We're looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and practical Estate Maintenance Operative to join our team.
Supporting The Estate this is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. We're looking for someone with an excellent eye for detail, a positive attitude and the willingness to tackle whatever the day brings.
One day you may be digging drainage trenches, the next repairing a shower, carrying out plumbing repairs, maintaining machinery, assisting with a new building project, or helping prepare the estate for arriving guests or the shooting season. Estate Maintenance
● Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across The Estate
● Complete general repairs to cabins, buildings and estate infrastructure.
● Undertake basic plumbing, carpentry and maintenance tasks.
● Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
● Ensure the estate is maintained to an exceptional standard throughout the year.
Estate Projects
● Assist with new building and improvement projects.
● Carry out groundworks, including digging drains and trenches.
● Repair and maintain fences, gates, tracks and estate infrastructure.
● Support contractors and tradespeople on larger projects where required.
● Operate estate machinery, including diggers and other plant equipment, where experienced.
Sporting Estate & Farm support
● Assist with the preparation and maintenance of estate shoot
● Support seasonal shoot operations as required.
● Help maintain game cover, drives and estate infrastructure.
● Assist with practical tasks across the Estate Farm and the wider estate.
● Carry out a wide range of practical jobs to support the smooth running of the estate
About You

Experience and Skills
Experience in some or all of the following would be advantageous:
● General property or estate maintenance.
● Basic plumbing, carpentry and general repairs.
● Groundworks and drainage.
● Operating diggers or other plant machinery.
● Farm, rural estate or countryside maintenance.
● Landscaping, fencing and machinery maintenance.
● Experience working on a sporting estate.
● Stalking experience and deer management skills.
● Experience working with pheasants and partridge, including game bird husbandry, release, rearing or shoot-day operations. Is a plus
● A good understanding of countryside and estate management.
● General DIY skills and practical problem-solving.
You don't need to be qualified in every trade—we're looking for someone who is practical, resourceful and enjoys learning new skills.
