A prominent UHNW Emirati family based in Dubai is seeking an exceptional Scottish male Mentor and Companion for their adult son, aged 21 — a trusted, "older brother" figure and positive role model who will support his confidence, independence, and personal development through shared activities, sport and genuine companionship.

The Role

This is a full-time mentorship and companionship role centred on building a real, trusted relationship with a warm, quiet, introverted young man who benefits from a positive, engaging presence in his daily life. The role involves coaching and joining him in his regular sporting activities (horse riding, tennis, and padel) as well as broadly encouraging new interests, independence, and life skills through everyday shared experience.

The family has a strong existing connection to Scotland and has had excellent past experience with Scottish candidates in similar roles and is seeking to continue that specifically. The role is based in Dubai, five days a week on a flexible, on-call schedule, with travel required when the family travels, including to London, where the family spends time each summer.

The Candidate

Personality is the deciding factor in this role above all else. The family is looking for someone whose warmth, energy, and genuine engagement will build real trust and bring a naturally positive influence into the son's daily life.

Requirements:

• Ideally a Scottish national, male, aged mid-to-late 20s to early 30s to bond with the young man

• Well-educated, confident, highly discreet, and experienced working within or comfortable adapting to a UHNW private-family environment

• Warm, enthusiastic, personable and genuinely engaging—able to build trust gradually with someone naturally quiet and introverted, without forcing pace or rapport

• Active and sporty across a broad range of interests, ideally including horse riding, tennis, and/or padel

• Prior experience mentoring or working closely with young people, in a formal or informal capacity

• Willing to be based full-time in Dubai and to travel with the family when required, including to London

• Eligible to live in the UAE with experience in the Middle East

The Offer

• Package: from AED 30,000 per month, negotiable for the right candidate

• Full-time, 5 days per week, flexible and on-call schedule

• Based in Dubai, with travel including London in the summer months

• Visa sponsorship provided by the family
