Hours Required: 16-20 hours per week, worked over flexible days or half days. The principals are open to discussing the most suitable working pattern with the successful candidate.

Overview

A private household based on an estate near Farnham is looking to appoint an experienced Housekeeper to support the day-to-day care and organisation of the home.

This is a permanent, part-time position within a five-bedroom residence. The principals are looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, proactive and takes genuine pride in maintaining a clean, organised and well-presented home.

The household includes two Labradors and a cat, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working around pets. Other staff are employed to look after the grounds, gardens and livestock.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping

  • Clean and care for the home to a high standard.
  • Carry out everyday cleaning and deeper cleaning as required.
  • Manage household laundry, including washing, ironing, folding and putting clothes away.
  • Change and make beds.
  • Keep wardrobes, cupboards and storage areas organised.
  • Carry out general tidying and household organisation.
  • Monitor household supplies and keep relevant areas well stocked.
  • Work proactively to maintain consistently high standards throughout the home.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Housekeeper within a private household.
  • Excellent cleaning and housekeeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • A reliable, friendly and professional manner.
  • A full driving licence and own car.
  • Confidence working around dogs and cats.
