EED is delighted to be representing a warm and welcoming private family based in Chelsea, London, seeking an experienced, native or near-native English-speaking nanny to join their household team on a rota basis. The position is available immediately.

The successful candidate will care for a lively, sociable little girl aged four, working a 2-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off rotation alongside an experienced rota nanny already well-established with the family. The rota operates on a broadly equal basis across the year—both nannies are expected to be cooperative and solution-oriented, coordinating flexibly between themselves when travel or other changes to the family’s schedule require adjustments.

Day-to-day responsibilities are typical of a full-time nanny role: maintaining a warm, structured daily routine; preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals; supporting hygiene and self-care; organising stimulating activities including sports, creative play, and outdoor time; and providing consistent emotional support and encouragement. The nanny will work alongside other household staff and should be a proactive, positive presence within the team.

The family travels regularly within Europe, and the nanny will travel with them during working rotations. The position is primarily based in Chelsea, London.

Working schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, live-in during working rotations. Accommodation and food are provided during weeks on; accommodation is not provided during weeks off.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing warm, attentive full-time care for a four-year-old girl during working rotations
• Maintaining a structured, nurturing daily routine
• Preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals and supporting hygiene and self-care
• Organising stimulating activities including sport, creative play and outdoor time
• Providing consistent emotional support, encouragement and positive role-modelling
• Travelling within Europe with the family during working rotations
• Coordinating cooperatively with the second rota nanny to ensure seamless continuity
• Working proactively alongside other household staff

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 8 years’ professional nanny experience with excellent, verifiable references
• Formal background in childcare, early years education, child psychology or a related field essential
• Native or near-native English speaker; excellent spoken and written English essential
• Warm, energetic and genuinely child-centred — able to build a real bond with a young child
• Sporty and outdoorsy, confident swimmer, comfortable leading physical and creative activities
• Flexible and cooperative — the rota is managed between the two nannies and adaptability is genuinely non-negotiable
• Comfortable travelling internationally during working rotations
• Enhanced DBS check and Paediatric First Aid certificate essential
• Right to work in the UK essential
• Professional, discreet and comfortable working within a fully staffed household

The Offer

• Salary: £5,000 gross per month
