Ref: FN7050

EED is delighted to be representing a private Russian-speaking family, seeking an experienced and nurturing rota nanny for their 11-month-old son. This is a wonderful opportunity for a warm, calm, and developmentally minded nanny to join a fully staffed household across two beautiful locations—the South of France (Nice and Cap Ferrat) and Latvia (Jūrmala and Riga).

The role is focused entirely on developmentally appropriate infant care: establishing and maintaining a consistent routine, sensory and physical stimulation, emotional support, and age-appropriate play and early learning activities. As the child grows, the role will evolve naturally to incorporate early educational support—language development, structured play, and nursery preparation. Candidates with a background in early childhood education and genuine enthusiasm for this transition will be particularly valued.

The family also has a three-year-old son who has his own dedicated nanny team. The successful candidate will work alongside the wider household team but be responsible solely for the younger child. No cooking, cleaning, or driving is required.

The family divides their time across the year between the South of France and Latvia, and the nanny must be comfortable and well-prepared to travel with them between residences.

Working schedule: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rota, live-in during working rotation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing full-time, attentive care for an 11-month-old boy
  • Establishing and maintaining a consistent infant routine across feeding, sleep and play
  • Delivering sensory, physical and emotional stimulation appropriate to the child’s age
  • Leading age-appropriate play and early learning activities
  • Supporting the natural evolution of the role into early educational and developmental support as the child grows

  • Working alongside the wider household team while remaining solely responsible for the younger child
  • Communicating openly with the parents about the child’s development, routine and wellbeing

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Native-level Russian with a neutral, standard accent — essential and non-negotiable

  • Background in early childhood education, childcare or child development (NNEB, CACHE, ECE degree or equivalent qualification)
  • Current valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Warm, patient and calm — comfortable with the demands of a live-in, intensive rota schedule

  • Flexibility and comfort with international travel between France and Latvia
  • Excellent, checkable professional references
  • Professional, discreet and comfortable within a fully staffed household
  • English language skills a welcome bonus

  • Salary: from €300 per working day
