EED is delighted to be representing a warm and friendly family based in Paris, seeking a native-level English and Russian-speaking governess to work full-time with their 4-year-old daughter on a live-in basis.

The family are looking for someone to support their daughter’s development through structured learning and enriching daily activities, with a proactive and diligent approach to planning her academic year. The successful candidate will be caring, active, well-presented and skilled at engaging young children through age-appropriate activities, working closely with the wider household team.

The governess will assist the child with her early learning and homework and will play an important role in shaping her educational foundation. As an extension of the family, the candidate must be well-presented at all times.

The family travels occasionally throughout the year, and the governess should be ready to accompany them as required, with additional working hours during travel compensated separately.

Working schedule: 5 days per week, up to 50 hours, with a break provided during the day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting the child’s development through structured learning and enriching daily activities
• Planning the child’s academic development and learning programme for the year ahead
• Assisting with homework and early learning activities
• Engaging the child through bilingual conversation, play and age-appropriate activities
• Maintaining a warm, structured and nurturing daily routine
• Collaborating closely with the wider household team
• Accompanying the family on occasional travel as required

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Native-level English and Russian essential
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with children in a similar age group
• Qualifications in Early Years, PGCE, Education or a related field
• Confident and proactive in planning a child’s learning and academic development
• Caring, active and engaging — skilled at working with young children
• Well-presented at all times
• Comfortable travelling internationally with the family
• Excellent, verifiable references
• Right to work in France or eligible for visa support
• Professional, discreet and warm in manner

THE PACKAGE

• Starting salary €5,000 per month, rising to up to €7,000 per month after a 3-month probation period
• Live-in position in Paris with separate accommodation provided
• 5 days per week, up to 50 hours, with a break provided during the day
• One month paid annual holiday
• Initial one-year contract
• All travel expenses covered when accompanying the family, with additional travel hours compensated
