£40,000 - £50,000 yearly

Job Description

Academic Tutor for 6-Year-Old Girl (PGCE / QTS | Primary-age British National Curriculum)

Virginia Water, Surrey

Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–6:00pm (20 hours per week)

Ref: TN7039

EED is delighted to be representing a wonderful UHNW family in Virginia Water, Surrey, seeking a capable, confident and engaging Academic Tutor to work with their six-year-old daughter on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre educator seeking a focused, part-time position within a well-structured private household.

The young girl has a big personality — she is creative, curious and full of energy, with a love of animals, outdoor adventures and imaginative play. The family are seeking someone who can guide her behaviour with a calm, consistent approach, maintaining structure without being overly authoritative, and who can foster a genuine love of learning alongside her academic development.

The role begins in August 2026 with a 2–3 week period at the family’s residence in the South of France to support the transition and establish routine. From September, the successful candidate will work alongside the current tutor in a shadowing capacity until October half term, taking on the role solo from that point. International travel during school holidays is not generally anticipated, though there may be occasional limited travel periods.

The household is fully staffed — including rota nannies, chefs, drivers and housekeepers — allowing the tutor to focus solely on the child’s academic and social development. All school administration is managed by a PA. This is a collaborative role within a polished, formal and well-run environment, and the family are looking for someone proactive, professional and able to hold their own.

Working schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–6:00pm (20 hours per week). Occasional weekend work required when school parties are taking place.
