A warm and welcoming Chinese-American family based in New York, USA, is seeking a professional, full-time live-in nanny/governess to care for their 5.5-year-old daughter. This is a long-term, high-quality private household role ideal for candidates with strong childcare experience and a passion for early childhood development.

The position focuses on after-school care, educational support, and emotional development, with some involvement in morning routines. The family is looking for a candidate who can foster a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support morning routine (breakfast preparation, school readiness, occasional school drop-offs)
  • Provide attentive after-school care and supervision
  • Accompany the child to extracurricular activities (ballet, swimming, piano)
  • Plan and engage in creative learning activities (arts & crafts, reading, music, educational play)
  • Encourage language development (Mandarin beneficial but not essential)
  • Ensure the child’s emotional well-being and development
  • Prepare snacks and assist with light childcare-related duties
  • Travel with the family as required

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

  • US citizen or resident with a work permit
  • Suitable qualifications and training in childcare or education

  • Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic household schedule
  • Willingness to travel with the family internationally

Working Schedule
