Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced, educationally focused Rota Nanny to join a private family, initially based in India with regular international travel.

This role is suited to a professional nanny with a strong teaching background, who can bring structure, consistency, and a clear developmental focus to the children’s daily routine. You will be caring for a 5-year-old boy, with the expectation that you will also take on care of a younger sibling in the coming months.

You will work closely with a very hands-on mother in a shared care environment, so confidence, collaboration and a calm, professional approach are key. The role combines full nursery duties with structured learning, with a strong emphasis on early years development in line with the British curriculum and EYFS.


Key Responsibilities

Educational & Developmental Support
Planning and delivering age-appropriate learning, including phonics, reading and numeracy
Designing monthly, weekly and daily activity plans
Supporting early language, cognitive and social development
Extending learning in line with the child’s interests
Supporting school and nursery readiness

Childcare & Routine Management
Full nursery duties for both children
Maintaining structured daily routines
Organising enriching activities, play and outings
Supporting development through both structured learning and play

Household & Child-Related Duties
Preparing nutritious meals for the children
Managing wardrobe, organisation and day-to-day needs
Online shopping for the children’s requirements
Booking activities and classes

Health & Wellbeing
Administering medication if required
Liaising with relevant professionals when needed
Ensuring the children’s overall wellbeing and development

Travel Support
Travelling with the family internationally
Maintaining consistency and continuity of learning while travelling


Candidate Profile

Minimum 10 years’ experience as an educator nanny
Strong background in early childhood education, ideally EYFS
Teaching experience within a school or homeschooling environment
Experience planning and delivering early years curriculum
Strong understanding of the British curriculum
Confident planning structured learning and activities
Montessori knowledge is a bonus, not essential
Experience working in private households preferred
Comfortable working in a shared care role with a hands-on parent
Proactive, organised and reflective in approach
Warm, engaging and development-focused
Strong swimmer, with an interest in outdoor and experiential learning
Flexible, collaborative and travel-ready

Essential Requirements
British passport holder
Native English speaker
