A busy, kind family is seeking a dynamic, part-time housekeeper for their downtown townhouse. This role will be 3 days per week and would ideally cover one weekend day. The hours would be 8am until 4pm or 9am until 5pm. You will be working along side a high level executive housekeeper. This family is seeking a top-notch candidate with experience managing a busy, high-end home and impeccable organizational skills. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Deep cleaning and tidying in conjunction with a Full-time housekeeper
  • Creating and maintaining household organization systems
    • Manage weekly house calendar in coordination with employer
  • Responsible for executing the cleaning schedule for the house. Beyond cleaning, the principals expect the house to be well-organized, with every cupboard and storage area immaculate. This requires constant review and attention.
    • Home organization: pantry, cabinets, garage, mudroom, closet organization
  • laundry, including fine fabrics and linens 
  • Personal laundry and wardrobe management
    • The executive housekeeper is responsible for the care and maintenance of the principal's wardrobe, including laundry, dry cleaning, repairs, and closet organization.
  • Stock household essentials
    • Inventory and stock all household supplies, from cleaning supplies to toiletries
  • Ordering supplies online and using the family calendar is required 
  • Event support
    • Liaise with outside catering to host exquisite cocktail and dinner parties.
    • Seasonal & holiday projects

    • Prepare the home for events/guests

  • Unpacking the principal’s luggage upon arrival and repacking it for the onward journey. 
  • Overseeing all packages that arrive to the home as well as managing items that need to be returned
  • Able to run errands as needed

 

Qualifications

 

  • A trustworthy candidate who is honest, works incredibly hard, is a self-starter, and has high communication skills and intelligence is sought for this role.
  • Team player- the family has a solid existing staff structure

Requirements

 

  • US work authorization
  • Experience in high-end homes and with fine furnishings and linens
  • Laundry and wardrobe experience is required for this role 
  • Can ideally work some hours on a weekend day
  • Experience with service and comfortable with interacting with both vendors and guests

 

Salary and Benefits

  • $45- $50 per hour plus PTO
