 A warm, active, and welcoming family is seeking a highly experienced, full-time nanny to support their two daughters, ages 6 months and 2 years. This role works closely with an existing Norland nanny, who will be primarily responsible for the 2-year-old. The focus for this role is primarily on the baby, with some regular care of both children, particularly on weekends. 

 

 

 

The household is warm, health-conscious, and relationship-driven. The family prioritizes trust, mutual respect, and open communication. 

The family resides in downtown Austin, TX, and travels frequently. The household is casual in tone but maintains high professional standards. There are no pets, and both parents work demanding jobs outside the home. The ideal candidate is positive, calm, flexible, developmentally focused, discreet, and genuinely enjoys being part of a close-knit household team caring for children. This role requires domestic and international travel. 

 

Start Date: March 2nd

 

Schedule:

● 45 hr week 

● Core schedule includes:

○ 2 consecutive days between Monday & Thursday for an 8 or 10-hr shift each day (8am-6pm or 11am-7pm)

○ Friday: 8:00am – 10:30pm 

○ Saturday: 3:00pm – 10:30pm 

○ Sunday: 3:00pm – 6:00pm 

● Two consecutive and previously scheduled full days off between Monday–Thursday, nanny's choice on which days they prefer 

● Friday–Sunday coverage is non-negotiable 

 

Responsibilities

 

● Full-scope childcare for a 6-month-old and at times the 2-year-old 

● Ability to care for both children together and individually 

● Supporting developmental goals through structured activities 

● Planning outings, classes, and age-appropriate enrichment 

● Preparing healthy, whole-food meals for the children, including the introduction of solids for the 6-month-old

● Child-related grocery shopping and supply ordering 

● Child laundry and organization 

● Ordering clothing, developmental toys, and supplies for the children 

● Driving children to activities using a family-provided vehicle 

● Collaborating closely with the other nanny 

● Providing evening and weekend coverage as scheduled 

● Supporting parents during evening hours while parents are present 

● Traveling domestically and internationally with the family 

● Maintaining discretion 

 

Qualifications

 

● Strong experience as a professional nanny in busy, staffed households

● Experience working alongside another nanny 

● Infant and toddler experience required 

● Calm, flexible, and emotionally intelligent 

● Comfortable with travel-heavy roles 

● Confident driver 

● Enjoys structure, routines, and organization 

● Warm, playful, and developmentally focused 

● Respectful of household values and discretion 

● CPR and First Aid certified 

 

Requirements

 

● Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 

● CPR and First Aid certification 

● Ability to travel as needed 

● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 

● Non-smoker 

● Ideally no pets due to allergies and travel flexibility 

● Comfortable working as a W-2 employee 

● Open to relocation 

 

Salary and Benefits

 

● $123,500-$160,550+/annually($50-$65+/hr)

● W-2 position 

● 3 weeks PTO annually (1 week chosen by family, 2 weeks by nanny)

● 3 sick days 

● 7 Holidays off or holiday pay provided

● Family vehicle provided for work-related use

● Travel expenses covered

This role does not require live-in status; housing is offered as an added benefit and is fully optional.

Option 2: Separate Apartment Near the Home 

● Two-bedroom, two-bathroom furnished apartment a few blocks from family’s home

● On occasion, extended family & friends stay in the second bedroom
