Role Overview

Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency is delighted to be supporting a private family based in Wilmslow in their search for an exceptional Housekeeper to oversee the smooth running of their household.

This is a senior, hands-on position suited to an experienced professional who thrives in managing large homes, maintaining high standards, and working with discretion and efficiency. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the day-to-day household upkeep to support the family .

The family is currently living in a temporary four-bedroom property during a full renovation of their main residence. Later this year, they will return to their beautifully renovated, large three-storey home with five bedrooms, where this role will naturally evolve further.

The household consists of two adults and one child, with no pets.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Home Care

The role includes full responsibility for maintaining an immaculate home environment at all times. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Daily cleaning and tidying of all living areas

  • Deep cleaning and high-level attention to detail throughout the home

  • Laundry management:

    • Washing, drying, folding and ironing

    • Care of delicate fabrics and garments

    • Wardrobe organisation

    • Keeping children’s toys clean and organised

    • Packing for trips away

    • Regular bed changing and linen rotation

  • Ensuring bathrooms, kitchens and high-use areas are consistently maintained to a high standard with regular deep cleans.

  • Monitoring household supplies and managing stock levels (cleaning products, toiletries, household essentials)

  • Taking in, organising and unpacking deliveries

  • Basic meal preparation as required – shopping for groceries mostly online with top up shops.

  • Running errands- dry cleaning, post office etc

  • Liaising with contractors, tradespeople and service providers when required and happy working alongside other staff in the home – garden/maintenance manager, chef and nanny.

  • Supporting the family during the transition back into their renovated main residence

  • Maintaining a welcoming, organised and calm home environment

 

 


 

Hours & Flexibility

  • Core hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm

  • Occasional weekend work required (with notice and flexibility)

  • Willingness to travel with the family when needed
