Perfect Household Staff are delighted to be assisting a respectful and long-established household based in Trinity, Jersey, with the recruitment of a professional live-in Housekeeper. The principals are a couple who value continuity, discretion, and trust, having employed their current housekeeper for almost a decade. The role arises due to retirement, making this an exceptionally rare long-term opportunity.
 
Trinity is a desirable mid-island location offering a peaceful lifestyle while remaining within easy reach of St Helier, Jersey’s capital, which is approximately two miles away. The household is calm, well-organised, and low-traffic, making this an ideal role for a housekeeper seeking stability, privacy, and a respectful working environment.
 
The role is not physically demanding and does not involve childcare or pet care. The principals are independent, clear in their expectations, and value a housekeeper who uses initiative while respecting boundaries.
 
This is a live-in position offering exceptional accommodation. The successful candidate will reside in a self-contained cottage attached to the property but fully private. The accommodation includes three bedrooms (one en-suite), a separate kitchen, living room, private garden, and full privacy.

Duties Include:
  • Full housekeeping of a large private residence, maintained to a high standard
  • Daily cleaning, tidying, and care of lightly used living space
  • Laundry management, including washing, ironing, and linen car
  • Occasional driving duties, including trips to local supermarkets and errands
  • Supporting the smooth running of the household using initiative and discretion
  • Working respectfully alongside the principals, maintaining clear boundaries
  • Assisting with handover and familiarisation alongside the retiring housekeeper, if required
 
Minimal Requirements:
  • Three or more years’ experience working in a private household
  • Two excellent, checkable references
  • Conversational English
  • Legal right to work
  • Confident driver (essential due to island location)
