Job Summary
A loving, outdoorsy German family who has previously secured a great Nanny through Kindred is, looking for a fun and proactive nanny to join them ASAP. This nanny would be helping to take care of their two boys, ages 5 and 3, and a newborn due in February (for the first 6 weeks, there will be a maternity nurse helping with the baby). 

Someone who wants to be in Germany, exploring and can see themselves in the role long-term is vital! Ideally, the nanny would be working three days a week and two days on the weekend- as the mum is based at home. However, the family are flexible around this and open to the nanny working Monday-Friday also, hours can be discussed with the family as overall they are looking for someone to cover a 40-hour week. Some weekend must be included, discussed well in advance. If the nanny is to help support mum during the weekdays, the role would be helping out with the morning routines and getting the children ready for nursery. Nursery hours are 8am-12pm and the nanny will then spend time with both of the boys in the afternoon, organising different fun activities and play dates. The role would look similar on the weekends, except without nursery. The parents are often around and would love to find someone who is comfortable with this and to become a part of the family. Duties in this role also include light housework and cooking for the boys when the parents are gone, there is a chef cooking Monday to Friday. The children love to help prepare their meals and someone who involves them in tidying up after themselves is important for this family. They are also looking for someone who uses their initiative and who is bubbly and organised. When the baby arrives, being able to support mum throughout this time is vital!

The boys both love to read, listen to music, sing, play outside, use their imaginations and explore new areas as they are both very inquisitive. Being outside is something that the children both love as they are based in the countryside of Germany. Often dogs and other animals visit their home so someone who is an animal lover is key! A Portuguese and English speaking nanny is really important and the family have both an automatic and manual car for the nanny to use while working. The family are looking for someone who likes to travel as they often go to Portugal, Vienna, Austria and the North of Italy, as well as visiting friends in cities around Europe. The boys love to visit museums when they visit cities.

The live-in accommodation is a double-bed guest room with a bathroom. While travelling and visiting friends, accommodation might be different and it's very important that the nanny is respectful of the host's wishes and easygoing. It's important for the family that the nanny also knows how to ride a bike and knows how to swim as the family has a pool and the boys love to swim when it's warm outside.
