Job Summary :   Identify and correct security risks and safety hazards to provide a secure and safe environment for patients, employees and visitors.  Conduct patrols of hospital and grounds, affiliated practices, and departments outside of the hospital and take appropriate actions to help prevent fire, theft, accidents, visitor confusion, disturbances or other undesirable conditions.  Respond to calls for assistance from employees, patients, visitors and physicians and provide appropriate assistance promptly.  Respond to other calls for service as directed by the supervisor.  Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.  Anticipate customers’ needs and respond appropriately.  Use excellent customer service skills.  Utilize de-escalation skills in aggressive situations.  Appropriately use resources.  Maintain accurate records for report writing, patient valuables, and morgue duties.
