Full-time Nanny for Three Children in Barons Court, London, UK

£60,000 - £68,000 yearly

Job Description

Full-time live-out nanny – Barons Court, West London – £60,000 to £68,000 gross a year – start January 2027

A busy professional family in West London is looking for an experienced nanny to join them full-time from January 2027. They have three children, aged 9, 5 and 8 months. During the day the job centres on the baby, and you would also look after the older children's after-school routine. The family want someone who is passionate about childcare and child development and who brings a good balance of warmth, fun, structure and professionalism.

  • Area: Barons Court, West London
  • Children: three, aged 9, 5 and 8 months
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm (55 hours a week)
  • Type: full-time, live-out
  • Pay: £60,000 to £68,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
  • Start: January 2027
  • Experience: 2 or more years
  • Travel: none required
  • Transport: a driver is ideally needed for school runs; the family may consider a confident cyclist who can use an electric bike if you do not drive

The role

  • Caring for the youngest child through the day in a nurturing, stimulating way
  • Choosing activities that suit each child's age and spark curiosity, learning and development
  • Nurturing each child's emotional, social and educational growth
  • Running the after-school routine, including school pick-ups at around 4 to 5pm
  • Giving homework help and backing up the older children's learning
  • Preparing meals and snacks and making sure the children are fed
  • Managing bath time and the evening routine so the children are settled and ready for the evening by 7pm
  • Keeping routines and boundaries consistent and age-appropriate
  • Creating a happy, calm, organised and stimulating home for all three children
  • Using your own initiative to run the children's day independently

About you

  • Highly experienced in childcare, with strong referees
  • Confident in a professional setting and able to work on your own
  • Mature, emotionally steady and intuitive by nature
  • Warm, loving, enthusiastic and fun to be around
  • Committed to children's education, development and wellbeing
  • Able to build genuine relationships with the children at their level
  • Well organised and keen to take the lead
  • Confident setting boundaries and keeping structure, nurturing and affectionate but firm when needed
  • Switched on, quick to anticipate the family's needs and proud of an outstanding standard of work

Both parents have busy professional lives and have employed experienced nannies before. They hope to find someone committed and enthusiastic who wants a long-term relationship with the family.
