Live-in or live-out nanny / housekeeper – Hambleden near Henley-on-Thames – from £40,000 gross a year

A professional family in a rural village close to Henley-on-Thames want an experienced nanny/housekeeper to help run their home and look after their children aged 5 and 7, with a new baby due in March 2027. Care is shared with the mother. They hope to find someone for the long term who will grow with the family. Both parents are hands-on and want support from someone who shares their wish to raise kind, confident, happy children.

• Location: Hambleden near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire
• Children: two, aged 5 and 7, plus a baby due in March 2027
• Hours: Monday to Friday, about 40 hours a week; flexible start and finish between 7am and 7pm
• Pay: from £40,000 gross a year
• Start: any time, latest January 2027
• Live-in or live-out: for live-in, separate self-contained accommodation is provided
• Pets: the family have a dog (an animal lover is essential)
• Other: occasional evening or weekend babysitting by prior arrangement; driving is an advantage but not essential

Duties

• Before- and after-school care for the older children
• Making wholesome meals and snacks for the children
• Planning enjoyable activities and play
• Homework support where useful
• Helping the children unwind after busy school days
• Helping with the new baby once they arrive next year
• General cleaning throughout the house
• Laundry and ironing
• Keeping bedrooms, toys and play spaces tidy and organised
• Managing school bags, uniforms and the children's belongings

About you

• Warm, kind and emotionally aware
• Energetic and fun, but also calm, organised and dependable
• Solid housekeeping experience
• Experienced with children of a similar age
• Wanting a real long-term position
