Three-day weekend housekeeper – Westminster, Central London – £33,000 gross a year (pro rata)

A private household in Westminster is looking for an experienced, professional weekend housekeeper. You would keep a home of up to three people clean, organised and well presented, working around the family and alongside their outsourced weekly cleaners. The family want someone who will become a trusted, long-term part of the household.

• Location: Westminster, Central London
• Days: every Saturday and Sunday, plus either Friday or Monday (three days a week)
• Hours: 9am to 5pm; 22.5 paid hours a week (30-minute unpaid lunch each day)
• Pay: £33,000 a year gross, scaled from a £55,000 five-day full-time rate
• Type: permanent

Responsibilities

• Keeping the home clean, ordered and well presented to a high standard
• Day-to-day cleaning, tidying and upkeep
• All laundry — wash, dry, iron, fold and put away
• Watering and looking after the house plants
• Helping keep the home organised and maintained day to day
• Working with the family's outsourced weekly cleaning team so the house stays well kept between their visits
• Helping keep the household calm, organised and welcoming
• Staying discreet and respectful when family members and children are around
• Noticing what the house needs and taking the initiative

• Meticulous about cleanliness and how the home is presented
• Well organised and confident managing the day's tasks alone
