Overview
We are seeking a warm, reliable and proactive Part-Time Nanny to support a private family in Nueva Andalucía with their two young children, a 9-month-old baby and a 2.5-year-old toddler.
This is a nanny-focused, shared care role. Mum is hands-on, and the children always come first. When they are napping or with their parents, you will help keep the home running smoothly. Childcare and household help happen one at a time, never both at once.
The family has a full-time housekeeper, so no deep cleaning is required. They are looking for someone observant who notices what needs doing and gets on with it, becoming a real support to the mother and sharing both the practical and mental load of family life.
With fixed part-time hours, this role is ideal for a student or anyone seeking consistent work alongside other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Baby Care: Feeding, naps, nappy changes and everyday care for the 9-month-old, following the family’s routines.
- Toddler Care: Engaged, quality time with the 2.5-year-old, indoors and out, through play, outings and age-appropriate activities. Warm and nurturing, with clear and consistent boundaries.
- Routines & Safety: Keep both children safe, happy and well looked after, following the family’s routines for meals, naps and activities.
- Household Support: While the children nap or are with their parents, reset the living room, tidy the kitchen, help clean up after dinner, load and unload the dishwasher, run the washing machine and fold laundry.
- Communication: Keep the parents updated on the children’s day with discretion and professionalism.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven hands-on experience with babies and toddlers, in private families, nurseries or similar.
- Languages: If Spanish is your first language, intermediate English is essential to communicate with the parents, while you speak Spanish with the children. Otherwise, strong English is essential.
- Availability: Able to commit reliably to the full schedule, including early Sunday starts.
- Location: Must live locally. The home is near a bus stop, so driving is not essential, and the family will cover a taxi for early Sunday starts for non-drivers.
- Proactive Attitude: Observant and self-motivated, with a natural instinct to help without being asked.
- Private Household Awareness: Understands the nuances of working for a private family, reads the room, and knows when to step in and when to step back.
- Personality: Warm, patient, calm and responsible, firm yet kind with young children.
- References: Minimum of 2 written, contactable references, plus a clean criminal record check.
What Is Offered
- Compensation: €1.100–1.550 net per month, paid in 12 monthly instalments, DOE.
- Fixed Schedule: Consistent, predictable hours that are easy to plan around studies or other commitments.
- Balanced Role: A clearly defined role within a well-organised household.
- Supportive Family: The chance to become a trusted, consistent presence in two young children’s lives.
