Private Driver and Household Assistant – Prime Central London – permanent, full-time – £60,000 to £65,000 per year

A friendly ultra-high-net-worth family in Prime Central London need an experienced private driver who is also happy to help around the house. The job combines professional family driving with some light household support, so it suits a polished, discreet and proactive person who is glad to pitch in wherever needed.

You will drive the principals and their children to school, to work, to appointments and to and from airports. The family keep a shared diary, which lets you plan ahead and anticipate each day's driving. The household cars are a Mercedes V-Class and a Range Rover. When you are not driving, you will run straightforward errands, handle collections and returns and help with the odd light household task.

• Location: Prime Central London
• Contract: permanent, full-time
• Hours: Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm; days are long and busy when the family are at home
• Quieter periods: the family travel a great deal in the school holidays and are usually away for 10 to 12 weeks a year
• Accommodation: a private flat about 20 minutes from the family home
• Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 per year

Main duties

• Drive the principals and children safely, on time and professionally
• Handle school runs, commutes to work, appointments and airport transfers
• Be fully ready for the family at 7am every working day
• Plan routes and organise each day's driving using the shared diary
• Keep the household cars in excellent condition
• Run errands, deal with returns and collect items from storage
• Help with light jobs around the house between drives
• Stay flexible as plans and family needs change

What you will need

• Experience as a private driver or chauffeur in a private household
• A full, clean UK driving licence and very good knowledge of London
• Confidence driving luxury cars, including larger family vehicles
• A smart, polished, discreet and highly professional manner
• To be at ease driving children and supporting a busy family
• A proactive, reliable attitude and a real willingness to help with household tasks
• Flexibility and comfort with long days when needed
• Openness to a possible move to Oxford in 2027
• Full UK right to work
• Excellent references that can be checked, and willingness to undergo background checks
