Job Description
Second Nanny – Mougins, South of France – €3,000 net a month – full time
An international family who are relocating from North America to Europe, and will be based in Mougins in a fully staffed household, would like an experienced and caring nanny to join them full time. They have four children, three girls and a boy, aged 22 months, 4½, 7½ and 12½. A nanny is already in post, so you would be the second nanny, giving extra support and working as a team with her so that the children get excellent care.
- Location: Mougins, South of France
- Salary: €3,000 net per month (roughly £2,510 a month at today's rate)
- Days: four or five days a week, depending on the hours agreed
- Hours: mainly afternoons after school, starting at around midday on Wednesdays. Some evenings and weekends are needed; when you work a weekend, you get time off during the week instead, as agreed
- Languages: English and French are essential; Greek would be a plus
- Travel: regular travel with the family is part of the job
- Trials: mid-November
What you will do
- Give all four children attentive, nurturing care
- Pick the children up from school and take them to their after-school activities
- Help with homework, reading and learning activities
- Plan fun outings and activities that suit each child's age
- Support the youngest child's daily routine, meals and development
- Help with the children's meals and snacks and with general organisation
- Work closely with the current nanny so routines stay consistent and each day runs smoothly
- Babysit now and then in the evenings and at weekends
- Travel with the family and keep the children's routines going while you are away
About you
- You have worked as a professional nanny before
- You are very organised, warm, proactive and flexible
- You are confident looking after several children of different ages
- You have excellent references (essential)
- It would help if you hold a valid driving licence and are confident driving the children
