Rota Maternity Nurse (two positions) – Central London – from mid-December 2026 for 8–10 weeks

First-time parents in Central London are expecting their baby in the middle of December and want two maternity nurses to share the care on a rota. Mum is having a C-section, and the first maternity nurse will begin once the baby is a week old. As this is their first child, the parents would value someone who can share their knowledge and give them real support in these early weeks.

• Location: Central London
• When: from the middle of December 2026, for 8 to 10 weeks
• Rota: 24/7 cover, working one week on and one week off
• Pay: depending on experience, with both a working rate and a standby rate
• Driving: not required

About the role

• Mum plans to breastfeed but is also happy with bottle feeds of expressed milk or formula
• When on duty you will sleep in the nursery with the baby; a separate room is provided for your breaks
• You may occasionally be asked to cover extra days if the other maternity nurse is unwell or unavailable
• The family would like someone discreet and organised who works well in a team

Your duties will include

• Caring for the newborn around the clock
• Sterilising bottles and equipment
• Helping with feeding
• Setting up a routine
• Giving the parents rest and support
• All nursery duties connected with the baby

• Substantial experience caring for newborns
• A discreet, organised approach and a team-player attitude
