After-school Nanny – Wanstead, London – £19–£22 net per hour – starting January 2027
A family in Wanstead would like a kind, reliable and organised after-school nanny for their two sons, aged 4 and 7. The job suits someone who enjoys school-age children, is happy to take on some light household jobs and would like to become a valued part of the household.
- Location: Wanstead, London
- Children: two boys, aged 4 and 7
- Start: January 2027
- Pay: £19–£22 per hour net, in line with experience
- Term time: about 20 hours a week, Monday to Thursday, from roughly 1pm or 2pm until 6.30pm depending on the household duties agreed; the family would appreciate the odd Friday with notice
- School holidays: full-time hours
- Estimated annual pay: around £24,700–£28,600 net, based on 20 hours a week in term time and 40 hours a week during the school holidays
What you will do
- Pick the boys up from school and look after them afterwards
- Make their meals and snacks
- Cook for the family where you can
- Wash and get their school uniforms ready
- Keep their bedrooms and belongings in order
- Help with light housework, such as hoovering, emptying the dishwasher and clearing up after breakfast
- Do the occasional bit of local shopping and run errands
