About the role

The family want a professional Governess to give educational support, manage the children's routines and encourage their academic, social and personal growth. A central part of the job is supporting the 12-year-old with Down syndrome, who is homeschooled on the French curriculum: you will run a structured daily learning routine, adapt activities to the child's abilities and pace, and build independence and confidence. You will also help the two school-age children with after-school routines, homework and extracurricular activities.

The role is French-speaking only. All three children are native French speakers and you will speak to them only in French. The two school-age children attend French schools, and all their homework, in every subject, is in French.

  • Pack school bags and kit for activities
  • Keep the children's study and play areas tidy
  • Help with the children's meals and snacks when needed
  • Manage the children's schedules and activity bookings

This is a Governess role centred on education, childcare and child-related organisation. There is no general housework or deep cleaning.
