Short-term Maternity Nurse – Dubai, UAE – monthly contract, live-out
A private family in Dubai would like an experienced, properly qualified maternity nurse to look after their newborn and support them once the baby arrives. The baby is due on 14 January. Because the exact arrival date can't be guaranteed, you need to be free to start around the birth and stay flexible throughout January.
- Location: Dubai, UAE
- Start: January 2027, around the baby's arrival (availability throughout January is essential)
- Contract: monthly, with a possible extension if both sides agree
- Hours: 12 hours a day, six days a week, with one day off; flexibility over daily start and finish times is needed
- Accommodation: live-out; you arrange your own accommodation
- Salary: negotiable, depending on experience
What you will do
- Give expert newborn care and keep the baby safe, comfortable and well at all times
- Support feeding, including breastfeeding guidance and bottle-feeding where needed
- Take care of every part of newborn care: bathing, changing, nappy care and settling
- Set up suitable sleep routines in line with current safe-sleep guidance
- Keep an eye on the baby's general wellbeing and development
- Reassure the parents and share practical, professional advice on newborn care and routines
What you will need
- Extensive, provable experience caring for newborns as a professional maternity nurse
- Relevant maternity nursing qualifications, training and certificates, or recognised equivalents
- In-depth understanding of feeding, hygiene, health and safety for newborns
- Up-to-date certificates in infant first aid and CPR
- Excellent professional references and a strong record with private families
- Good English, so you can communicate clearly with the family
- A warm, professional, discreet and reassuring manner, and the ability to work on your own to a high standard
- Availability to start around the baby's arrival, staying flexible through January
