Full-time Housekeeper/Nanny – Bayswater, London (W2) – £21.10 gross per hour

A family living in Bayswater needs an experienced, dependable and well-organised Housekeeper/Nanny to look after their home and help care for their two school-age children. This is a long-term job that combines daily housekeeping, cooking for the family and childcare. The family would like someone gentle, patient and trustworthy who can work on their own and become a valued part of the household.

• Children: two, aged 6 and 9
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 6:30pm (53 hours 45 minutes a week)
• Pay: £21.10 gross per hour, which is £1,134.13 gross per week, or roughly £58,975 gross a year based on 52 paid weeks
• Start: ASAP
• Pets: one cat
• Travel: being able to join the family on occasional trips would be appreciated, but it is not essential

The family lives in a three-storey house with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The job is mainly about keeping the home clean, tidy and well organised, cooking for the whole family and helping with the children's school routines. A separate cleaner looks after deep cleaning, so this role covers the regular daily cleaning, laundry, cooking and general upkeep. Their last housekeeper stayed for five years, and they hope to find someone who also wants a stable, long-term position.

Childcare

• Getting the children ready for school, including breakfast and school bags
• Taking the children to school and collecting them, then accompanying them to their after-school clubs and activities
• Supervising the children at home and preparing their snacks and meals
• Helping with homework when needed
• Supporting the afternoon and evening routines
• Encouraging independence and good manners, with gentle, patient and attentive care

Housekeeping

• Daily cleaning and tidying throughout the house, keeping the kitchen clean and organised and the bathrooms regularly cleaned
• Dusting, vacuuming and mopping, and tidying bedrooms and living areas
• Family laundry and ironing, putting clothes away, changing bed linen and making beds
• Organising wardrobes, household storage and household supplies
• Cooking meals for the whole family and clearing up afterwards
• No heavy-duty or specialist deep cleaning; that is done by the separate cleaner

Requirements

• You have worked before in a role that combined housekeeping and nannying
• You are a strong, well-organised housekeeper
• You can cook confidently for the whole family
• Experience of caring for school-age children
• A gentle, patient and caring nature; reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Able to work independently, manage daily priorities and balance housekeeping with childcare
• You are at ease around pets
• Being willing to travel would count in your favour
• Looking for a stable, long-term position
• You hold a valid UK right to work
