Nightly Maternity Nurse – Maida Vale, London – £20–£25 per hour gross

• Location: Maida Vale, London (W9); live-out (accommodation TBC)
• Baby: First baby, five months old
• Hours: Two nights a week, 9pm–7am
• Salary: £20–£25 per hour gross, paid weekly
• Contract: Temporary; two-week booking

A family in Maida Vale are looking for a knowledgeable and supportive Nightly Maternity Nurse to assist with their five-month-old over a short, two-week booking. They would particularly welcome someone with a good understanding of infant sleep development who can offer practical advice on settling and positive sleep associations, while providing attentive overnight care and allowing Mum some valuable rest. Their baby is predominantly breastfed, and they want someone who can work comfortably alongside their existing feeding arrangements. An experienced, reassuring Maternity Nurse who can offer a fresh perspective on sleep and settling would be particularly appreciated.

Duties

• Attentive overnight care for the baby
• Managing night waking, settling and resettling
• Supporting Mum with overnight breastfeeding as required
• Assessing current sleep patterns and offering practical guidance
• Suggesting gentle, age-appropriate settling strategies
• Being mindful of the baby’s eczema and comfort overnight
• Providing reassurance and support to tired parents

Requirements

• Experienced Maternity Nurse with excellent infant sleep knowledge
• Confident troubleshooting frequent night waking
• Experienced with breastfed babies
• Knowledgeable about gentle settling techniques
• Calm, reassuring and adaptable; available for an immediate start
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role, recognised childcare qualification, current DBS and paediatric first aid; right to work in the UK; excellent references
