Nightly Maternity Nurse – Loddington, Leicestershire – £20–£24 per hour gross

• Location: Loddington, Leicestershire (LE7); bed in the nursery, sharing with baby
• Baby: Second baby, due late February 2027
• Hours: Five nights a week, 9pm–7am
• Salary: £20–£24 per hour gross, paid weekly
• Contract: Temporary; three-month booking
• Start: Last week of February 2027

A returning family in Leicestershire are looking for an experienced, reliable Nightly Maternity Nurse after the arrival of their second baby. Mum plans to breastfeed initially before moving to bottle feeding, and hopes to express milk for overnight feeds so both parents can rest. They want someone with excellent newborn knowledge who can confidently take charge of baby’s overnight care and help establish good sleep associations and a gentle, consistent routine – some structure, without an overly rigid regime. A medical or midwifery background is strongly preferred, though experienced Maternity Nurses without medical qualifications will be considered. Reliability, discretion and excellent timekeeping matter greatly to this family.

Duties

• Experienced overnight newborn care
• Supporting breastfeeding, expressing and the move to bottle feeding
• Feeding, winding, changing and settling overnight
• Gentle, age-appropriate routines and positive sleep associations
• Keeping the nursery area and baby equipment in order

Requirements

• Extensive newborn and Maternity Nurse experience; medical or midwifery background strongly preferred
• Excellent knowledge of newborn feeding, settling and sleep development
• Exceptionally reliable and punctual; calm, discreet and professional
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role, recognised childcare qualification, current DBS and paediatric first aid; right to work in the UK; excellent references
