Job Description

Part-time Nanny – Rothwell, Leeds – salary by arrangement

Location: Rothwell, Leeds
Children: Aged 2 and 7
Hours: Flexible between Monday and Wednesday; some weeks none, others from about 3 hours (one morning or after school) up to about 30 hours including overnight stays
Salary: Please present expectations
Start: End of October 2026
Driver: Required, with own car
Pets: Two cats

A family in Rothwell needs a flexible nanny for the start of the week. Some Monday or Tuesday nights require staying over. The role suits someone who already has permanent work later in the week and wants flexible extra hours. A full list of hours from end of October to the beginning of February is available from the agency.

Duties

School drop-off and pick-up
Feeding, bath and bedtime routines
Taking the children to activities and engaging play
Occasional overnight stays as agreed

Requirements

Flexible availability Monday to Wednesday
Driver with own car
Comfortable with cats; right to work in the UK

Story so far

I’m Lyndsey, founder of The Yorkshire Nanny Company.

I adopted the business in 2016 after working with children both within nurseries and private homes for over ten years. It was a natural move for me, having just had my second child Will. It is no secret, that children are drawn to me, and I them.

I was brought up in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Me and my sister would spend our childhood riding our bikes up and down our lane, feeding the cows and collecting the eggs from our chickens’ huts. I can honestly say that these were some of my happiest times and helped make me the person that I am today.

I have my own little family now, made up of Ellie (four), William (three) and daddy Mark. Our life on our own farm is busy, made up of trips to agricultural shows and auctions with our home-reared cows and sheep, balmy summer nights playing in the yard, book ended, always with a bedtime story read by daddy. I guess I have recreated the happy childhood that I had.
