Part-time Housekeeper / Cook – Kentish Town, London – £36,000 plus discretionary bonus

• Hours: Three days a week, 10am–5pm; Monday required; other two days from Wednesday/Friday, Thursday/Friday or Wednesday/Thursday
• Salary: £36,000 plus discretionary bonus

A couple in Kentish Town are looking for an organised, discreet Housekeeper/Cook to run the home and prepare wholesome meals. Cooking is for two people, with occasional dinner-party support once or twice a month. The principals enjoy French, Mediterranean and Ottolenghi-style food; no spicy dishes or curries. Taxi provided for late finishes; some downtime in summer when they travel.

Housekeeping

• Full cleaning of a three-storey property: hoovering, dusting, mopping and polishing
• Bathroom and kitchen upkeep; laundry, ironing and wardrobe care including fine fabrics
• Changing bed linen; household organisation; reporting maintenance and liaising with contractors
• Receiving deliveries and keeping the household running smoothly

Cooking

• Preparing lunches for two and simple dinners in advance
• Following recipes confidently; sourcing good ingredients
• Assisting with dinner-party food preparation (one to two per month)
• Wholesome dishes such as fish, duck, salads, soups and seasonal meals

Requirements

• Strong private-household experience; excellent housekeeping standards
• Passionate cook who enjoys simple, high-quality food
• Able to work independently; calm and discreet; good spoken English
• Long-term mindset; occasional paid extra hours when required
