Live-in Household & Lifestyle Assistant – near Chipping Norton, Cotswolds – £40,000–£50,000 per annum

  • Location: Near Chipping Norton, Cotswolds
  • Working days: Thursday to Monday (days off Tuesday and Wednesday)
  • Salary: £40,000–£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Accommodation: A lovely two-bedroom cottage, all utilities included
  • Contract: Permanent

A warm and welcoming private family near Chipping Norton is looking for a dynamic, polished and highly organised Household & Lifestyle Assistant to become an integral part of their household.

This is a varied position for a genuinely multi-skilled all-rounder who enjoys being involved across all areas of a private household. You will work closely with the principals, providing practical day-to-day support and making sure their homes and family life run smoothly. It could particularly suit someone from a yachting, chalet, luxury hospitality or private household background who is used to high standards and is looking for a long-term, land-based role.

Duties include

  • Wardrobe management, organisation, packing and unpacking, and keeping clothing and personal items beautifully maintained
  • Preparing fresh, relaxed family-style meals and light lunches (you do not need to be a trained chef, but should enjoy cooking and be confident in the kitchen)
  • Keeping the household beautifully presented, organised and guest-ready, supporting the wider household team
  • Organising cupboards, wardrobes and household supplies
  • Helping with interiors and presentation
  • Hosting, meeting and greeting guests and looking after them during their stay
  • Supporting with entertaining, table presentation and informal family gatherings
  • Around one evening a week, supporting the family's 14-year-old daughter at a property in Oxford, including preparing dinner
  • Running errands, shopping and general household support

About you

  • Experience in a private household, yacht, chalet or luxury hospitality environment
  • An excellent all-rounder who enjoys variety
  • Confident with family-style cooking and food preparation
  • Highly organised, with a flair for wardrobe management and presentation
  • Warm, personable and comfortable looking after guests
  • Discreet and professional, yet approachable and down-to-earth
  • Energetic, proactive and flexible as the family's needs change
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • A confident driver with a full driving licence (essential)
