A lovely family based in Hampstead, North London, is seeking an experienced and professional Daily Housekeeper to join their household on a permanent basis.

The family have grown-up teenage children and are looking for a friendly, discreet and highly capable housekeeper to work alongside another permanent housekeeper, helping with the smooth running of the home and providing additional support during busier periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property
• Thorough daily cleaning and housekeeping
• Laundry, washing and ironing to an excellent standard
• Taking particular care of fine clothing, delicate fabrics and the family's wardrobe
• Ensuring the home is consistently well presented and organised
• Working independently and managing daily tasks efficiently
• Supporting the existing housekeeper with overflow and additional household duties
• Working as part of a close-knit household team

Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional or career housekeeper in a private household
• Excellent cleaning, laundry and ironing skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and very high housekeeping standards
• Experience caring for fine clothes, delicate fabrics and wardrobes
• The ability to work independently, use initiative and manage tasks without constant supervision
• A discreet, trustworthy and professional approach
• Excellent written references
• A valid DBS check, or willingness to undergo one
• A smart, well-presented appearance
• A friendly, positive and flexible attitude, and strong team-working skills

This is a purely housekeeping position with no cooking required, making it particularly well suited to an experienced career housekeeper who wishes to focus exclusively on housekeeping. The family are informal and friendly, while living in a beautiful, formal home, and are looking for someone who will become a valued, long-term member of the household team.
