Description
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and highly capable Housekeeper/Nanny to join a warm family of four based in a beautiful apartment in Kensington.
The family have two young children, a 4-year-old boy who attends school and a 2-year-old girl who attends kids club, the nanny will have to present at.
The role is primarily focused on housekeeping and the upkeep of the home, with an approximate split of 75% housekeeping and 25% childcare. The ideal candidate will take great pride in maintaining the home to a very high standard, whilst being warm, caring and happy to support the children when required.
Responsibilities may include:
Maintaining the home to an exceptionally high standard
General housekeeping and day-to-day upkeep
Laundry and ironing
Keeping the home organised, tidy and beautifully presented
Following the family’s established household routines and systems
Providing occasional childcare and support with the childcare and support with the children
Taking a more active role with the family’s 2-year-old daughter when required
Being flexible and supportive of the family’s needs
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience of working in a private household
Excellent housekeeping skills and meticulous attention to detail
Warm, caring and confident around young children
Discreet, trustworthy and professional
Highly organised and proactive
Comfortable working within established household systems and routines
Able to work independently and take initiative
Flexible and willing to support the family as required
Excellent references and a stable employment history
Enhanced DBS
5 years minimum experience in a similar role
Driving licence preferred
Accommodation: Live in or out is on offer.
Hours: Live-in: Monday – Friday approximately 7am -7pm, plus a few hours on Saturday morning. There is flexibility around the Saturday requirement.
Live-out: Monday – Friday, approximately 7.30am – 6.30pm
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: £18+ Net per hour, Competitive depending on experience
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
