Description
We are seeking an additional Housekeeper to join an established team of two long-term Housekeepers. The successful candidate will be an experienced, hands-on Housekeeper with excellent attention to detail and a genuine understanding of caring for a beautiful private home. An excellent opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper to join a warm and friendly household in Dublin. The family consists of six, although four of the adult children have now moved away. The Principals travel frequently and are not in residence throughout the entire year, although they regularly entertain and have guests when in situ. The property is a substantial six-bedroom home arranged over four floors, with one family dog. The property is conveniently located within a short walk of a DART station, providing excellent access to the house by public transport. The successful candidate will become part of a friendly and established housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

Full housekeeping and meticulous cleaning of the residence

Maintaining high standards throughout all areas of the home

Care of marble, silk and fine furnishings

Expert ironing and laundry

Wardrobe management and clothing care

Ensuring bedrooms and guest areas are beautifully presented

Working closely with the existing housekeeping team

Assisting with the preparation of the house when the Principals and guests are in residence

Caring for the home to an exceptionally high standard when the Principals are travelling

Occasional care of the family dog

Supporting the household during periods of entertaining

Cooking is not required for this position.

Candidate Profile

Previous experience working as a Housekeeper in a private household

Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness

Experience caring for fine furnishings, marble, silk and delicate fabrics

Strong ironing and laundry skills

Experience with wardrobe management

A discreet, trustworthy and professional approach

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A warm and friendly personality

Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the family's schedule

A genuine pride in maintaining a beautiful home

A driving licence is preferred, although not essential.

Salary: Circa 50K Euros dependant on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm

When the Principals are in residence, there may occasionally be a requirement to work one weekend day, with a weekday off in lieu. Weekend working will be arranged on a rota basis with the existing team. The family are not in residence all year round, so the role offers a varied working environment depending on the family's schedule.
