Description
Our returning clients are seeking a full-time, live-out Housekeeper for their private country estate located close to Wadhurst, East Sussex. This is a fully staffed household with a House Manager, with the successful candidate joining a team of three other Housekeepers.
Duties will include –
Ensuring the smooth running, cleanliness and presentation of the Principal’s residence
General housekeeping and specialist cleaning, including care of silver, glassware and fine finishes
Laundry, ironing, sewing and mending, including the care of fine fabrics and garments
Wardrobe management and organisation
Managing and maintaining the moth prevention programme
Assisting with dinners, receptions and other events, including simple service duties as part of the wider household team
Occasional basic cooking and food preparation
Reporting any household maintenance requirements
Assisting with inventory checks and household stock management
Occasional travel to the clients’ UK based properties, with the possibility of very occasional travel to Europe residence.
The ideal candidate will be –An experienced and highly capable Housekeeper who is comfortable working to high standards and as part of an established household team. They should have excellent attention to detail, be happy following direction and be confident providing a warm, professional service. Previous hospitality experience would be advantageous, and candidates should be comfortable assisting with service at dinners, receptions and other events, although the household is not formal and silver service is not required. A flexible and adaptable approach, along with a full driving licence and own car, is essential. Applicants must have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar private household role.
Working days & hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with flexibility to occasionally work additional hours when required, remunerated as time off in lieu

Salary: £43,000–£48,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
