An amazing family based in Herne Hill, South East London, is looking for an energetic, warm and highly capable English speaking Nanny to join their household on a long term basis.

The family has three school aged children G9, B8 and G6 and is looking for someone who is confident managing a busy family routine while creating a fun, positive and well-organised environment for the children.

This is predominantly a shared care role with Mum, while Dad works on a hybrid basis between home and the office. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working alongside an involved parent while also being confident taking sole charge when required.

The family also has two much loved cats, so the nanny must be comfortable around animals and happy to work in a household with pets.

A genuine love of cooking is important for this position. The family would particularly value a nanny who is a great cook and enjoys preparing fresh, healthy and varied meals.

Responsibilities

Providing warm, attentive and engaging care for all three children
Supporting Mum with the children's daily routines and taking sole charge when required
School drop offs and collections as required
Helping with homework, reading and school projects
Organising after-school activities, playdates and age appropriate outings
Encouraging the children's independence, good manners and positive routines
Preparing fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children and family
Keeping on top of the children's schedules, school requirements and activities
Children's laundry and keeping their bedrooms and belongings organised
Preparing school bags, uniforms and anything required for the following day
Working collaboratively with both parents and adapting to the family's changing schedule
Being comfortable working in a home with the family's two cats


Candidate Requirements

Fluent English speaker, essential
Strong previous experience caring for multiple school aged children
Excellent cooking skills and a genuine enjoyment of cooking
Energetic, positive and engaging
Academically confident and happy to support homework
Highly organised, proactive and able to use initiative
Comfortable working in a shared care environment
Must be comfortable around cats
Reliable, flexible and looking for a long-term position
Excellent checkable references
Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid preferred
