A wonderful and welcoming family based in Peckham is seeking a highly qualified, nurturing and experienced Maternity Nanny/Nanny to care for their 2 month old baby girl.

The first time parents are looking for a calm, knowledgeable and dependable professional who can confidently support them during the baby’s early months while providing exceptional, developmentally focused care. The ideal candidate will have extensive newborn and infant experience, a strong understanding of developmental milestones and preferably knowledge of Montessori principles.
The nanny should be warm, engaging and proactive, with the ability to establish a healthy routine while remaining responsive to the baby’s individual needs. The family would value someone who can offer gentle guidance and work collaboratively with them as their daughter grows.

Key Responsibilities
Providing attentive, nurturing and developmentally appropriate care
Supporting and maintaining healthy feeding and sleeping routines
Preparing and sterilising bottles and feeding equipment
Supporting breastfeeding or combination feeding, where required
Changing nappies, bathing and dressing the baby
Monitoring developmental milestones and communicating progress to the parents
Planning age-appropriate sensory, tummy-time and Montessori-inspired activities
Taking the baby for daily walks, classes and local activities as appropriate
Supporting a smooth transition through each developmental stage
Preparing fresh, nutritious meals when the baby begins weaning
Keeping the nursery, play areas and baby equipment clean, organised and hygienic
Managing the baby’s laundry, bedding and wardrobe
Maintaining a daily record of feeds, sleep, nappies and activities
Ensuring the baby’s safety, comfort and emotional well-being at all times
Working closely and respectfully with the parents

Candidate Requirements
Recognised childcare, maternity or early-years qualification
Extensive professional experience caring for newborns and young babies
Strong knowledge of infant feeding, sleep routines, weaning and early development
Montessori training or a sound understanding of Montessori principles is highly desirable
Current Paediatric First Aid certificate
Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
Excellent, fully checkable professional references
Strong communication and organisational skills
Calm, discreet, reliable and emotionally intelligent
Non-smoker
Legally entitled to work in the UK
