A prestigious international UHNW family is seeking an outstanding British ROTA Governess to join their private household and play an influential role in the education and development of their two daughters, aged 6 and 8.

This is a high-level, long-term appointment for an exceptionally energetic, educated and engaging Governess who can bring together academic excellence, creativity, impeccable manners and genuine warmth.

Working on a one-month-on / one-month-off rotation, the Governess will be fully engaged during her working month and responsible for creating a stimulating, structured and enriching environment around the girls.

The family divides its time between Oxford and Seattle and travels extensively internationally. The successful candidate must therefore be highly flexible, adventurous and comfortable transitioning seamlessly between different homes, countries and schedules.
This is strictly a Governess-focused position within a fully staffed household. There are no housekeeping, cooking, laundry or general domestic duties.

The Focus
The Governess will take an active role in the girls' academic, social and personal development, including:
Overseeing homework and reinforcing school learning
Supporting academic progress across core subjects
Creating inspiring educational experiences beyond the classroom
Encouraging curiosity, reading, creativity and independent thinking
Teaching excellent manners, etiquette and social confidence
Developing independence, resilience and emotional intelligence
Planning cultural, educational, sporting and recreational activities
Making learning engaging, fun and relevant to the children's interests
Accompanying the family on extensive international travel
Creating enriching itineraries and learning opportunities while abroad
Maintaining appropriate routines, boundaries and consistency
Providing excellent communication and seamless handovers with the rotational Governess
Working professionally alongside parents and the wider household team

British / native English-speaking, with impeccable spoken and written English
Highly educated with a strong academic background
Experienced with primary-school-aged children

Confident supporting a broad range of school subjects
Warm, engaging and emotionally intelligent
Able to balance fun and affection with structure and boundaries
Proactive and exceptionally well organised
Flexible and adaptable to an international lifestyle
Comfortable with frequent and extensive worldwide travel
Discreet, polished and accustomed to maintaining the highest professional standards
Experienced within UHNW/VIP, ROTA or international private households, strongly preferred
Able to provide outstanding professional references
Enhanced DBS checked or eligible to obtain the appropriate equivalent

Package
Rotation: 1 month on / 1 month off
Salary: Exceptional package, dependent on calibre and experience
Accommodation: Separate private accommodation provided whilst on duty
Travel: All work-related international travel expenses covered
