Full-Time Housekeeper / Cook, nr Limassol, Cyprus
We are seeking a capable, practical and warm Housekeeper/Cook to join a private family home in Apesia, approximately 10 minutes outside Limassol, Cyprus.
This is a permanent, full-time, live-out position centred on high-standard housekeeping, fresh family cooking, home organisation and care of two dogs. The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for helping the household run smoothly.
The candidate should be comfortable working in a lively family home where children are present. This is not a nanny position and formal childcare experience is not required. The family’s young daughter may occasionally join in with everyday activities such as preparing dinner, so a kind, patient and child-friendly manner is important.
The family needs someone flexible, intuitive and willing to adapt to what is required on a particular day. Duties will remain appropriate to a Housekeeper/Cook position, but the exact mix may vary and occasional out-of-hours support may be requested.
Key responsibilities
Maintain the family home to a consistently high standard, including cleaning, tidying and general upkeep.
Manage laundry, ironing, linen and day-to-day household organisation.
Plan and prepare fresh, healthy family lunches and dinners, accommodating preferences and dietary requirements as agreed.
Keep the kitchen clean, organised and well stocked; assist with grocery shopping and household supplies.
Care for the family’s two dogs, including walking, feeding and routine day-to-day attention.
Run errands, complete collections and support practical household tasks as required.
Notice what needs doing and manage priorities independently, while communicating clearly with the family.
Be comfortable around the children and include them safely and positively in ordinary household activities when appropriate.
Provide reasonable flexibility when family needs occasionally change, including some pre-agreed out-of-hours support.
Candidate profile
Strong housekeeping experience gained in a private home, luxury hotel or other high-standard domestic environment.
Confident family cook who enjoys preparing varied, healthy everyday meals.
Genuinely comfortable with dogs and willing to take responsibility for walking and feeding them.
Warm and at ease around children; formal nanny or childcare training is not required.
Proactive, organised and able to work independently without requiring constant direction.
Flexible and adaptable, with a practical “go with the flow” approach to a varied family household.
Discreet, trustworthy, reliable and respectful of the family’s privacy.
Sufficient spoken English to understand instructions, communicate needs and discuss daily tasks; fluency is not essential.
Already based near Limassol or able to commute reliably to Apesia.
Working arrangement
Permanent, full-time and live-out.
Approximately 36 hours per week, with the regular schedule to be agreed.
Reasonable flexibility required, with notice wherever possible.
Be able to work one weekend day a week, Saturday or the Sunday
Preferred start from mid-October 2026, ahead of the family’s move on 30 October.
Salary: €3,500 per month, depending on experience and agreed duties.
