Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and naturally nurturing Housekeeper / Family PA to support a busy professional single-parent household located on the outskirts of Canterbury, Kent.

This is a household-led role requiring a candidate who can confidently take full ownership of the home during working weeks. The position combines high-standard housekeeping and proactive family PA support, alongside light childcare responsibilities and the provision of a warm, steady, motherly presence within the household.

The family have three children (B14, B5 and G3) and a small, friendly dog. The successful candidate will be emotionally intelligent, calm, and naturally supportive someone who can create structure, stability and a positive atmosphere within the home.

Spanish or German speaking would be advantageous, though not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Household Management

Full cleaning and upkeep of the home to a high standard
Laundry care, including washing, ironing, wardrobe management and hand-washing delicate items
Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms
Kitchen management, including cleaning, fridge organisation and stock rotation
Grocery shopping and household supply procurement
Managing household stock levels and minimising waste
Running errands and coordinating dry cleaning
Plant care and general home organisation
Feeding and caring for the family dog
The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a well-run, organised and welcoming home environment.

Family PA & Household Administration

Managing the children’s schedules, extracurricular activities, appointments and logistics
Liaising with schools and nurseries where required
Preparing school uniforms, bags and activity equipment
Managing day-to-day household budgets
Placing online orders and overseeing deliveries
Coordinating appointments and general family administration
This element of the role requires strong organisational ability, forward planning and the confidence to work autonomously.
Childcare & Emotional Support

School runs and transport to activities
Overseeing daily routines and ensuring consistency and structure
Providing a calm, reassuring and motherly presence within the home
Occasional sole-charge support following parental work commitments
Supporting homework routines when required
Preparing nutritious meals for the children
While this is not a sole nanny role, the successful candidate must genuinely enjoy being around children and be comfortable acting as a steady adult figure who helps create a nurturing and secure environment.
Candidate Requirements

Proven experience working within a private household in a similar role
Strong organisational skills with the ability to take initiative
Naturally warm, discreet and emotionally intelligent
Confident driver with a full, clean driving licence (essential)
Own car preferred
Flexible, adaptable and comfortable working in a sole-charge capacity during rota weeks
Right to work in the UK
