Prestigious private estate near Henley-on-Thames has a vacancy for a local live-out Senior Qualified Gardener

The estate comprises of 4/5 acres of formal designed gardens & several acres of woodland

The role will be a “hands on” role working as part of the existing garden team. Duties will include general & routine maintenance of the gardens, lawns, woodlands, outbuildings & garages. Introducing organic zones in the garden & woodlands. Responsible for the day to day upkeep of garden & grounds & all ongoing projects. Liaising with external contractors, vendors & suppliers. Local driving which will include collecting equipment & plants, taking machinery for servicing etc. Preparing monthly budget & expenses, keeping inventory of equipment & products

Essential requirements:

– Recognised gardening qualification (Ideally RHS level 2/3)
– Minimum 3 years experience working as an employed Gardener on a private estate
– Strong preference for a Gardener who has a Chainsaw Licence
– Excellent references
– Longevity in former roles
– Excellent IT skills
– Full clean driving licence
– Live locally to Henley-on-Thames
– Cheerful disposition
– Team player
– Hardworking, can do attitude
– Discreet at all times
– Fit & active
– Able to provide a professional CV on request
– Own transport essential
– Animal lover essential
