Overview

A lovely international family based in Gibraltar is seeking a long-term nanny to work with their bubbly 2-year-old boy. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping toddlers meet their developmental milestones, with a good understanding of early childhood development and learning through play — experience working in nurseries or childcare-related studies would be an advantage. The toddler is active and loves learning through play. Light cooking is required to prepare meals and snacks for him. This is a live-out role when not on duty. Due to the nature of the rota, only candidates based locally in Gibraltar or the surrounding areas of Spain can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developmental Care: Support the toddler in meeting his developmental milestones through engaged, play-based care.
  • Light Cooking: Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the child.
  • Rota Coverage: Work a 3 days on / 3 days off schedule, transitioning to 24-hour live-in duty on shift, coordinating flexibly with the second rota nanny.
  • Energy & Engagement: Keep pace with an active toddler who loves to learn through play.

 Requirements

  • Languages: English speaking essential; Spanish an advantage.
  • Location: Must be based locally in Gibraltar or the surrounding areas of Spain — only local candidates can be considered due to the nature of the rota.
  • Right to Work: UK or EU passport essential; a Gibraltar contract will be provided.
  • Background: Nursery or childcare experience, or related studies, an advantage.
  • Personality: Bubbly and energetic, with low personal commitments given the demanding rota.
