Job Summary: 

Happy Nest Nanny and Maternity Agency is delighted to be supporting a warm, professional family in London W2 in their search for a caring, dependable and proactive Nanny / Mother’s Help for their 21-month-old little girl.

The family are bilingual and their little girl already speaks and understands a great deal of Turkish. Working Turkish language skills are therefore strongly preferred, allowing her to continue hearing and using Turkish naturally throughout her day.

Fluent English is not essential and basic conversational English will be sufficient, provided the candidate can communicate clearly and safely with the parents.

Mum will be working from home, so the nanny must be comfortable working alongside a parent, using their own initiative and becoming a supportive presence within the family home.

This role may particularly suit an experienced nursery practitioner, early years professional or childcare practitioner who is looking to take the next step in their career and move into a private nanny position. Applications are also welcomed from candidates who already have nanny experience.

The Role Will Include

• Providing attentive, nurturing and age-appropriate care throughout the day

• Planning engaging play, learning opportunities, local outings and activities to support the little girl’s development

• Encouraging her Turkish language skills naturally through conversation, songs, stories and everyday routines

• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child

• Supporting daily routines including meals, naps and bath time where required

• Taking care of nursery duties including the child’s laundry, tidying toys and keeping her areas clean and organised

• Completing occasional child-related or light household errands

• Working in partnership with Mum whilst remaining confident and proactive in the role

The Ideal Nanny Will Be

• Warm, patient, affectionate and genuinely interested in toddler development

• Reliable, organised and able to use their own initiative

• Playful and engaging, with plenty of ideas for age-appropriate activities

• Comfortable working in a home where a parent may be present

• Able to communicate in Turkish at a working level, which is strongly preferred

• Able to communicate in basic conversational English

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant professional childcare experience gained as a nanny, nursery practitioner, early years practitioner or within a similar childcare setting

• A good understanding of the developmental needs of toddlers

• Checkable references from previous employers or childcare settings

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain a new certificate

• Current Paediatric First Aid certificate or willingness to complete an appropriate course

• Proof of identity and the right to work in the UK
