10570S-IB GARDENER, LIVE IN, FULL-TIME - Hampshire, UK
Our client is seeking an experienced live-in Gardener for their Country House Estate in Newton Valence, Alton, Hampshire.
The role covers gardening alongside broader estate responsibilities, including house maintenance oversight, security, swimming pool care, and welfare of ducks and chickens.
Duties will include:
- Managing all garden and grounds maintenance
- Overseeing general house maintenance and liaising with contractors
- Managing security for the property
- Maintaining and caring for the swimming pool
- Feeding and caring for ducks and chickens
- Arranging car servicing and MOTs as required
Should the successful candidate have a partner, there may also be an opportunity for approximately 6 hours per week of cleaning work assisting the Housekeeper, paid on an ad hoc, live-out basis.
Full-Time Permanent
50 hours per week
£35,000/£40,000 gross per annum (depending on experience and flexibility)
2 bedroom estate house
UK
Proven experience as a gardener, with estate or grounds management experience preferred
Experience maintaining a swimming pool (or willingness to be trained)
Experience caring for poultry/waterfowl
Full, clean UK driving licence
Practical, hands-on approach with house and general maintenance tasks
Trustworthy and reliable, comfortable with security responsibilities for the property
Willing to live in on-site
