The Role

A private family based in Chelsea Barracks is seeking a warm, mature and highly reliable Nanny for their 11-year-old son.

This will be a predominantly sole-charge position, as the child will usually be alone with the nanny during working hours. The family is looking for an experienced candidate who can provide a calm, caring and dependable presence while supporting the boy’s routines, wellbeing and daily needs.

The ideal candidate will be confident preparing simple, healthy meals and must genuinely love animals. The family has two dogs, and the nanny will be expected to walk them during working hours.

The successful candidate must be available to travel to Spain for a trial period during August. If the trial is successful, the permanent London position will commence on 1 September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, predominantly sole-charge care for the child.
• Support his daily routines, wellbeing and personal organisation.
• Plan appropriate activities and accompany him on outings.
• Prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks.
• Support homework and school-related organisation where required.
• Maintain a calm, safe and orderly environment.
• Walk the family’s two dogs during working hours.
• Travel to Spain for the trial period in August.
• Communicate openly and professionally with the parents.
• Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality.

Candidate Requirements

• Mature, warm, caring and emotionally grounded.
• Considerable professional experience caring for school-aged children.
• Russian or Ukrainian speaking preferred.
• Reliable, responsible and confident working independently.
• Comfortable providing predominantly sole-charge care.
• Able to prepare simple, healthy meals.
• A genuine animal lover who is happy to walk two dogs.
• Previous experience with private or UHNW families would be advantageous.
• Available to travel to Spain in August 2026.
• Able to commit to the required weekday and weekend schedule.
• Enhanced DBS check and Paediatric First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain them.
• Excellent references and willingness to undergo comprehensive background checks.
