The Role
A warm and welcoming family in Chelsea is seeking a highly organised and proactive Live-in Family Assistant/Nanny to support their busy household and four school-aged children: six-year-old twin girls and eight-year-old boy/girl twins.
The mother is extremely hands-on and is looking for someone to work alongside her in a genuine shared-care capacity. The children’s father works abroad but remains actively involved in family life. With four children attending three different schools from September, the family requires a reliable and capable person who can help coordinate their schedules and keep daily life running smoothly.
The children have distinct personalities and interests. One of the younger girls is naturally confident, while her twin would benefit from gentle encouragement to develop greater confidence and resilience. Their older sister is responsible and enjoys taking the lead, while their brother is an enthusiastic reader, highly sociable and very sporty.
This is a grounded, communicative family who values warmth alongside clear and consistent boundaries. Their approach aligns closely with Dr Siggie’s philosophy: children’s feelings are acknowledged and discussed, while adults remain calm, confident leaders. The children are encouraged to understand consequences, take responsibility and resolve disagreements respectfully.
The successful candidate will work closely with the mother to manage the children’s routines, school commitments and activities. This is not a fully staffed household, although a housekeeper attends twice weekly; therefore, only light housekeeping and general maintenance of an orderly home are required.
The role calls for someone flexible and willing to take responsibility as part of a team. The family is equally respectful of their nanny’s needs and hopes to establish a long-term arrangement built on trust, communication and give-and-take.

Holidays and Benefits
The family travels very little with their nanny and particularly values spending holidays privately with their children. The successful candidate will therefore need to coordinate their annual leave primarily around the family’s travel dates.
In return, the family expects to provide substantial additional paid time off beyond the candidate’s contractual holiday entitlement, including extended periods during the summer. They understand the importance of providing a secure year-round salary and will also accommodate important personal or family commitments wherever possible.
The package includes:
The family may also consider employing an additional driver if required.
